Route 663 Resurfacing Planned Next Week in Upper Hanover

KING OF PRUSSIA PA - Highway resurfacing operations are scheduled during the coming week in Upper Hanover Township, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

The agency says paving and utility work is scheduled for Oct. 26-29 (Monday through Friday) on Route 663 (Quakertown Avenue and John Fries Highway) between Otts Road and the Bucks County line in Upper Hanover Township.

Operations will be in effect daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. A lane closure with flagging will be in place to direct traffic.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. PennDOT reports backups and delays will occur.

The work in Upper Hanover is part of activity on four state highways across Montgomery, Bucks, and Delaware counties under multiple contracts, PennDOT adds. Under these projects, its contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement. It is intended to seal roadways, and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
