LIMERICK PA - Limerick Township’s Parks and Recreation registration system, known as RecDesk, has been updated and offers new convenience to those interested in its programs, the township announced Tuesday (Oct. 20, 2026).

The improved system is in response to what its Parks and Recreation Department acknowledged were “concerns” mentioned by RecDesk users. “We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us,” it told users in an e-mail. “We hope these updates help provide a smoother and more efficient registration experience for everyone.”

Specific upgrades include:

  • A one-hour shopping cart hold. “Once you add a registration to your cart, your spot will be held for one hour while you complete the registration process,” the township explains, “or until you log out of RecDesk, whichever comes first;” and
  • Registration completion. Users “must complete (their) registration within the one-hour-hold period to secure (their) spot.”

Regarding future registrations, the department also noted that:

  • Summer Shamrock Camp and Specialty Camp 2027 information will be available on the first business day of January; and
  • Summer Shamrock Camp and Specialty Camp registration will open on the first business day of February.

“We look forward to another great summer!,” it added.
