POTTSTOWN PA - Observances of this year’s 50th anniversary of the TriCounty Active Adult Center (TRAAC) will culminate Oct. 10 (2026; Saturday) with its “Groovy Gala.”
The event runs from 7-10 p.m. at Brookside Country Club, 850 N. Adams St. It acknowledges five decades over which the center says it “has been improving the lives of older adults in the Pottstown region.”
“Groovy Gala,” presented by Pottstown-based TriCounty Health Plans, “will echo the year the TRAAC was founded, 1976 ...” the center adds, “... in all of its sparkly-disco-bell-bottomed glory.”
It features a wine tasting, open bar, fondue, hors de oeuvre, a variety of dinner stations, dessert, and a chocolate tasting of Zipf’s Candies by Sweet Surprise. Participants also can enjoy a wine draw and silent auction. They likely will dance as well, to favorite music of the era performed by Dean Garafolo.
Tickets for the gala cost $150 per person. They are now available online, or reservations can be made by calling the center at 610-323-5009, Extension 108.
All proceeds from the event support services for older adults in the TriCounty area. They include a free daily lunch, professional assistance from trained staff, and exercise and social programs to keep seniors active and independent.
