POTTSTOWN PA - A day-long voter registration drive is scheduled for Oct. 3 (2026; Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ricketts Center, 658 Beech St. It also is envisioned as a celebratory event, according to the Pottstown NAACP and its Youth Council.
The registration drive is intended to motivate all those eligible to vote, but who are not yet registered, to sign up.
The window of remaining time to register is limited. The state’s office of Voting and Election Information says Oct. 19 is the last day available in Pennsylvania for voter registration before the November mid-term elections. Those who attend can receive a flyer that cites other election-related dates and information.
That celebration? It is planned in part, the NAACP chapter reports, to create “youth action, encourage participation, register first-time voters,” and have the community “engage with leaders.”
A Day of Music and Activities
The event will include food, music, vendors, and fun activities - including three sweepstakes’ drawings for civic, kindergarten, and academic gifts - all on the Ricketts Center grounds.
Volunteers who will work during the registration event also will describe the sweepstakes’ prizes, and explain how participants can be entered for them. The drawings are free to enter.
The Pottstown NAACP hopes to attract more volunteers for the event. It also is seeking donations to help pay for food, or to contribute funds for the gifts.
