POTTSTOWN PA - Staff members and volunteers at the Pottstown Children's Discovery Center, 95 S. Hanover St., are offering local parents an opportunity on Oct. 2 (Friday; 2026) to take a night off.
Dispense with making a meal. Forget cleaning the house. Let someone else responsibly look after the young ones. Its goal, the discovery center adds, is to give Mom and Dad “get some well-deserved 'Me-Time'.”
For those who are interested ... hurry.
Online registration is available now. The sign-up webpage is scheduled to close Sept. 28 (Monday). Availability is becoming limited, however. The center reports it is “already halfway to being sold out.”
The center says it will provide pizza, snacks, water, and dessert, and entertain children inside the kid-oriented museum from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The service costs $30 for the first child, and $10 for each additional sibling. Children must be potty-trained. Parents will be required to complete an emergency contact information form, and to sign their child in and out.
“It is a great deal and for a great cause,” the center notes. Besides, it observes, “it's been a long summer. Let us take the kids for a bit.”
