Finance Seminar May Put You On ’Pathways to Property’

POTTSTOWN PA - A personal finance seminar, to be presented during October, may help area residents find ways to manage their debt and afford a home.

The free, two-hour session is called “Pathways to Property.” It is scheduled to be held Oct. 11 (Sunday) from 1-3 p.m. at The Vibe Café, 249 E. High St. It is being hosted by state 146th House District Rep. Joe Ciresi.

Participants can expect to hear from representatives of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. Those attending can learn about programs that help with purchasing a home on a limited budget, and with paying off student loans.

Additionally, local non-profit organizations - including Mosaic Community Land Trust, Habitat for Humanity, and Hobart’s Run - will be on hand to meet with participants. They can offer guidance on home-buyer assistance grants and financing. First-time buyers may find their help particularly valuable, organizers say.

For more information about the event, or to report your interest in attending, visit Ciresi's Royersford office at Suite 140C in Park Towne Plaza, 301 N. Lewis Rd.; or send an e-mail to repciresi@pahouse.net; or call 484-200-8275.
