24th District Veterans Breakfast Scheduled by Pennycuick

EAST GREENVILLE PA - An annual “Veterans Appreciation Breakfast,” hosted by 24th District state Sen. Tracy Pennycuick, is now scheduled for November, her office reports. All veterans who live within the district - which includes Pottstown and the three Pottsgrove townships - are invited to attend, it adds.

The meal will be held Nov. 14 (2026; Saturday) from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the East Greenville Fire Company Banquet Hall, 401 Washington St., East Greenville. Doors there will open at 7:45 a.m. for registered veterans to check in.

The breakfast honors the district’s military men and women who have served the nation. Maj. Gen. Michael E. Wegscheider of the Pennsylvania National Guard will be its keynote speaker.

Although the event is free, seating is limited and advance registration is required. Veterans may bring one guest. They must enter their reservations by Oct. 30 (Friday) by calling 215-541-2388; or by using an online form.

Other municipalities across portions of Montgomery and Berks counties also are within the district.

Included in Montgomery County are Douglass, Limerick, Lower Frederick, Lower Salford, Marlborough, New Hanover, Perkiomen, Skippack, Towamencin, Upper Frederick, Upper Gwynedd, Upper Hanover, and Upper Salford townships; and Collegeville, East Greenville, Green Lane, North Wales, Pennsburg, Red Hill, Schwenksville, and Trappe boroughs.

In Berks County they include Amity, Colebrookdale, District, Douglass, Earl, Hereford, Longswamp, Pike, Rockland and Washington townships; and Bally, Bechtelsville, Boyertown, and Topton boroughs.
