Need A Job? PennDOT Hiring for Workers in Berks

TEMPLE PA - An employment fair with onsite interviews and job offers for winter positions will be held Sept. 4 (2026; Thursday) by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) in Temple PA.

Applications will be accepted in person from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the department’s Berks County office, 4680 Fifth Street Hwy. Those interested in a PennDOT career are encouraged to attend.

Participants will learn about the various opportunities available. District and county employees will be on hand to answer questions regarding employment. They also will assist job candidates with the application process.

PennDOT looks to fill several positions in the county. They include commercial driver’s license (CDL) operators, diesel mechanics, welders, and tradesman helpers. Currently available positions change frequently, and can be viewed online.

CDL operators should bring their current driver’s license and medical card. Mechanics should bring a copy of their inspection license.
